Admission Policy
Student intake through regular admissions, as well as Scholarships & withdrawals are clearly defined according to FESS Admission policy. The main points of which are below:
- All prospective students are required to take the assessment tests to ensure that they enter the academic level commensurate with age and development.
- All students are required to submit documents i.e. school leaving certificate, result card / reports, registration form, From ‘B’ NADRA and result of entry test at FESS (Along with any case specific documents specified).
- Entry tests are designed to evaluate the students' conceptual understanding and proficiency in language.
- It is mandatory for parents to accompany children seeking admission when called for interview.
- There is no admission to class 8 and below after winter vacations.
- Outstanding results/ distinctions will be considered as plus points.
- Admission to class HSSC-I minimum percentage in Matric must be:
- ICS: 65 to 70%
- Pre-Engineering & Pre-Medical: 75 to 80 %
- Admission in HSSC-I will be granted on merit basis. Admission grading weightage: Admission test – 50%, SSC Marks – 50%
- Admission test subjects for HSSC-I: Pre-Engineering and Pre-Medical : English, Math, Biology, Physics and Chemistry, General Science and Humanities Groups: English, Urdu and Computer Science.
- Seats available for HSSC-I are 90 (30 per section)
- Seats available for As classes are 30
- Limited and highly competitive scholarships are available for deserving students as per policy.
- For HSSC-I: 05 students per each group, highest scoring 03 students will get 100% scholarship, while remaining 02 will get 50% scholarship.
- For HSSC-II: 03 students per each group will get 100% scholarship.
- No scholarships available for O Levels.
- A Level students have following scholarships available:

- Usual strength of classes is 28-30 students.
- FESS provides equal opportunity for children of PAF Officers, Airmen as well as civilians
- Admissions to HSSC & A Levels will be regarded as new admissions
- Grade Prep admission age limit: 4.6 years to 5.6years on new session date of the year of admission. Relaxation of up to max 30 days possible.
- Grade 1 admission age (lower limit): exceeding 5 years and 6 months, provided they qualify entrance test and were enrolled at FESS for class Prep as well.
- Children failing a Board examination will be granted re-admission only for the session following the examination in which they failed.
- A student discharged from FESS on disciplinary grounds will not to be re-admitted.
- Admission will only be confirmed if admission fee challan payment is confirmed within 05 working days of challan issuance. On delay of such payment, FESS reserves the right to cancel offer of admission in favor of next willing applicant
- Sibling concession is also available as per policy for employees/ non-employees of Shaheen Foundation.
- There is no concession in admission fee for employees or non-employees. However security may be waived off as per policy.
- Student Withdrawal: In case of withdrawal of a student for any reason, the parents / guardians will apply in writing and give a month’s notice to the school or one month's fee in lieu of the notice to close the account and issue School Leaving Certificate.
- As a policy, the school will not be under any obligation to re-admit any student who has been issued a School Leaving Certificate.
- If the parents wish a student to be re-admitted, a written request must be initiated and approved by the Section Head.
Admissions
FESS introduces regular admissions once a year starting in:
- February for Classes Playgroup to 9th O-I, O-II
- July for Classes SSC-II, HSSC & O-III/A Levels
- Class 8 students are a part of our SSC Batch as they follow the Pre-9th Syllabus
- As a school closely linked to the forces admissions of posting cases for armed officers are ongoing throughout the session.
Admission Quota
- Competition for seats is very high at FESS, so parents are advised to make sure that they apply well in advance.
- Preference give on first come first served basis.
- Final decision is based on merit in admission test
- Quota for Admission changes as per requirement and strength of classes. This is informed as soon as Admissions are opened so that prospective student & parents are aware of the level of competition for seats.
Admission Test
- Tests are mandatory for all classes except Playgroup, admissions to which are granted on interview basis.
- Test syllabus is given to students at time of purchase of prospectus
- Admission test date is announced and informed to each parent.
- Date for Result is informed and first merit list is in posted outside the school.
- Second list is only posted incase anyone in the first list drops their claim to the seat.
- College section students & parents are also separately interviewed before their offer of admission.
Scholarships
There is a limited quota of scholarship available for deserving students, details of which will be intimated once offer of admission is extended.
Class Play Group to Class X and 'O' / A Level
Admissions are granted subject to availability of seats on the basis of suitability of candidates as judged by the Admission Board after written entrance test and interview. Issuance of the admission form does not guarantee the admission. In 'O' / A Levels, three streams are offered ie Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, Business and Accounts.
Mandatory Required Documents
- Application for admission on the prescribed form along with following documents is to be submitted by the last date as notified.
- Four (04 passport size) photographs with blue background of the candidate.
- Attested copy of Birth Certificate and Form B., Attested copies of CNIC of both parents.
- School Leaving and Character Certificate in original issued by the previous school/institution (not for class Play Group).
- Migration Certificate in original (for candidates who have passed SSC from other Boards).
- Attested photocopy of Equivalence Certificate issued by IBCC in case the candidate has passed O Level examination.

Class 1st Year
Students who have passed Secondary School Certificate examination from Board of Secondary Education in Pakistan or have obtained O Level Certificate from UK are eligible for admission to class XI. Minimum marks for Pre Medical are 85%, Pre Engineering 75% and ICS 70%.

The applicants have to take admission test in the subjects as mentioned against each group of studies.

Re-Admission
Re-admission of a student once withdrawn or to repeat/ rejoin his/ her previous class may be granted only on fulfillment of the following conditions:
- If the candidates conduct has been satisfactory.
- If he/she has been regular, punctual and serious in studies.
- If he/she fulfills the basic conditions of merit/admission for that class.
- If all the outstanding dues are paid.
- If a seat exists.
